Recovery Here Now is a radical new approach to treating addictive behaviours. Our simple but effective intervention combines cutting edge elements from mindfulness, psychotherapy and neuroscience to help people free themselves from the trap of addiction.
Recovery Here Now may well be all you need to make a genuine decision to stop drinking or taking drugs
Our aim is to help people handle life without drugs or alcohol by enabling them to live more fully in the present moment. We train participants to follow a path of self-recovery, self-healing and the development of positive self-esteem, without the need to hide or change their feelings via the use of mood-altering substances.
Recovery Here Now isn’t just about how to stop. It’s about how to stay stopped.
Who can benefit from Recovery Here Now?
Our course is an effective motivational intervention for people who are:
- already abstaining from drugs or alcohol
- still using drugs or alcohol, but thinking about abstinence
- open to the idea that drugs and alcohol are causing problems in their life
The Recovery Here Now method
At the heart of our method is teaching each and every participant to be at ease in the present moment.
The Recovery Here Now course incorporates a mixture of experiential ‘process’ groups and educational ‘content’ groups. It’s designed to help people gain a powerful experience of the ‘here and now’ without the filter of drugs or alcohol, learn the core skills of practicing self-acceptance in the present, and discover how the commitment to stay clean is a commitment to the true self.
This commitment to know and become one’s true self is the basis for self-esteem, positive psychological health and genuine recovery.
Our course provides an opportunity for honest self-appraisal in a supportive context, and the chance to engage or re-engage with the commitment to life and the retreat from addictive behaviours. It’s a simple but radical approach that provides the condition for a genuine, robust recovery.
Recovery Here Now may well be all you need to make a genuine decision to stop drinking or taking drugs and begin living a fuller, richer and more meaningful life.
